Reservations Now Open For EESP Waterfall Tour

Visiting one of the waterfalls on the tour last year.

Reservations are now being taken for the Annual Waterfall Tour on Saturday, March 17, sponsored by Friends of Edgar Evins State Park and park employees.

This will be the tenth year for this popular event which includes visits to different waterfalls in Middle Tennessee each year and lunch in a restaurant along the way.

Vans will leave from the Visitors Center at Edgar Evins State Park at 9 a.m. and return about 3 p.m.

There will be short walks on pavement and uneven ground so comfortable shoes are recommended.

Waterfalls this year include:

• Cummins Falls... Easy in out out trail...Less than ¼ mile each way.

• City Lake Park Falls...Paved easy trail...About 200 yards.

• Hidden Hollow Falls...Easy paved trail on private land

Edgar Evins State Park is located in DeKalb County on Center Hill Lake between Smithville and Cookeville. It is accessible from both I-40 and State Highway 141.

All three falls are in the Cookeville area with short driving distances between each. We will have lunch at the Golden Corral buffet in Cookeville.

The fee is $10 per person plus  the price of  your own lunch. Phone the park office at 1-800-250-8619 or (931) 858-2114 for reservations.
