The unexpected inclement weather that paralyzed most of the middle and southern Tennessee Sunday and Monday, played havoc with Motlow College’s final exam schedule, forcing the administration to postpone and reschedule two days of final exams.

Cannon County Government and Town of Woodbury offices are open for business this morning, but will be closing at 2 p.m. today due to hazardous road conditions. Additionally, it is anticipated that General Sessions Court will be held Tuesday as scheduled.

Cannon County High's basketball home games scheduled for tonight against District 8-AA rival Upperman have been canceled. No make up date has been set as yet. There will also be no practice for the teams today. The Lionettes and Lions are scheduled to play again Friday at home against Coffee County.

Cannon County Schools and Woodbury Head Start will be closed today. The main road through Woodbury is relatively clear this morning, but side roads are extremely slick.

The Christmas Concert planned for 2 p.m. today at Cannon County High School has been postponed because of anticipated inclement weather conditions according to a message received from Band Director Steven Porter.

Auburn's girls continued to answer all challenges and continued its unbeaten season with a convincing 39-15 win against No. 2 seed Woodland in the championship of the 2010 Cannon County Cancer Tournament at Woodbury Grammar School Saturday.

Auburn's Garrett McReynolds looked like a heavyweight fighter who had just lasted 15 rounds in a title bout following his team's emphatic 46-33 win against No. 1 seed Woodland in the championship of the 2010 Cannon County Cancer Tournament at Woodbury Grammar School Saturday night.
