After being out of print for several years, the popular book “Cannon County, a Pictorial History” will be available in limited numbers this fall, according to Austin Jennings, president of the Cannon County Historical Society.

Orders for the book are being received by the society at pre-release price of $95. If any books remain after the release date in late November, they will be offered at $125, he added.

The 544 page book containing 2,000 pictures of people, children of long ago, families, homes, scenes of Cannon County, churches, businesses, schools, military, sports and halls of fame, was first published in 1998 after two years of research and preparation. The last available book sold several years ago and demand has grown for additional copies since.

Orders for the book should be sent, along with check, to: Cannon County Historical Society, 902 W. Main St., Woodbury, TN 37190. Books can be sent to out-of-town purchasers for $7 for shipping and handling.

Proceeds from the sale of these books will go toward the new addition to Adams Memorial Library designated for the enlarged genealogy department.
