Ray H. Hare, 94, died Saturday, Sept. 8 at the University Medical Center in Lebanon.

A native of the Porterfield Community in Readyville, Hare is survived by his sister Alta McKnight of Lascassas; Son: Ray David (Loretta) Hare of Murfreesb; three Grandchildren: Leigh Ann (Shawn) Touloeisani of Brentwood, Dana (Stan) Edwards of Lebanon, & David (Connie) Hare of Porterfield Community; nine Great Grandchildren: Sarah Woodard, Mary & Jacob Edwards, Matthew & Hannah Touloeisani, Jaclyn, Bryant, Katie & Jon Hare. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Dickerson Hare & Sally McElroy Hare; his wife, Ruby Shirley Hare & brother, John D. Hare.

His granddaughter, Dana Edwards & her family were wonderful caregivers for the past 5 years. He was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ, a farmer & was retired from Cummings Sign Co.
