Rain Delay: Car Show Moved To Oct. 3



The 11th annual Color of Fall Car Show, which was to take place this Saturday on the Public Square, has been moved to a week from Saturday, Oct. 3, due to the forecast for heavy rain in the area tonight and Saturday. The Chamber of Commerce made the announcement this morning.

Registration will be from 8 a.m. until noon on Oct. 3. Entry fee is $20. Judging begins at 9:30 a.m. There will also be door prizes, music and contests. Major sponsors are NAPA Auto Parts and Woodbury Insurance Agency.

Cash prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, Best Original, Best Modified, Best Street Rod, Best Pro Street and Best Full Size or Mini Truck. Trophies will be awarded to the top 30 1989 or older vehicles and to the Top 10 1990 or older. Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 entrants by the Old Feed Store Antique Mall.

The D.J. for the event will be Steve Smith.
