Piggly Wiggly Pilfering: Woman Charged With Vandalism, Theft



Following are the latest arrest and incident reports as recorded by the Woodbury Police Department. Readers are advised that an allegation or report of a crime does not necessarily constitute a crime, or even that one took place. All persons accused of crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

12.3.2009 — Nancy L. Sullivan was charged with vandalism and theft under $500 after taking items from unlocked cars at Piggly Wiggly and breaking the handle on one vehicle.

12.6.2009 — Officer Tracey Stoetzel responded to an attempted break in at a veterinarian's office at 820 McMinnville Hwy. It was determined that the would-be burglar had not gained entry to the office.

12.7.2009 — Sgt. Kevin Mooneyham investigated the previous theft of a 1999 Dodge Truck from Marlin Motors. Marty J. Cooper was developed as a suspect and it was found that his license was suspended. Mr. Cooper had also painted the truck white in an attempt to disguise it. He was charged with driving on a suspended license, theft over $1000, and vandalism over $1000.

12.14.2009 — Sherry Morton reported that someone broke into the office at 100 South Ridge Apartments. The office and laundry room doors had been pried open. Nothing of value was stolen but papers and files had been gone through. The broken door was first noticed at 10:30 A.M. by Eric Goode.
