Perryman Can't Evade Six Months In County Jail



Judge Susan Melton presided over Cannon County General Sessions Court on Tuesday. Some of the results from the various cases which appeared on the docket included:

Michael Duane Perryman pled guilty to the charge of evading arrest. He was sentenced to 6 months in the county jail and ordered to serve his entire sentence.

James Earl Dailey was found guilty of the offense of violation of probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve his entire sentence.

Derick Scott Dodson pled guilty to the charge of violation of probation. His probation was extended and he was ordered to pay the court costs.

Samuel Frasier pled guilty to the charge of violation of probation. His probation was extended and he was ordered to pay the court costs.

Robin Clark Green pled guilty to the charge of simple possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on supervised probation, paying the court costs and paying a $250.00 fine. He was also ordered to submit to drug screens.

Debra Beard Nelson pled guilty to the charge of reckless driving. She was sentenced to 6 months in the county jail. That sentence was partially suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, serving 48 hours in jail, paying a fine and paying the court costs.

Michael Lynn Pittman pled guilty to the charge of violation of probation. His probation was extended and he was ordered to serve 30 days in jail.

Charles Roberts pled guilty to the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $250.00 fine and paying the court costs. He was also ordered to submit to drug screens.

Courtney Lynn Smotherman entered a conditional plea of guilty to the charge of theft under $500.00. She was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days ordered to pay restitution and ordered to pay the court costs.

Michael Shan Smotherman entered a conditional plea of guilty to the charge of theft under $500.00. He was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days ordered to pay restitution and ordered to pay the court costs.

Donald Carl Stewart pled guilty to the charge of public intoxication. He was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $50.00 fine and paying the court costs.

Sterling Brown Bush, III pled guilty to three counts of criminal attempt to commit the offense of criminal simulation. He was sentenced to 35 months, 26 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying restitution and paying the court costs.
