Paving The Way For More Parking

As work winds down on the Cannon County Courthouse Revitalization Project, paving of the parking lot around the courthouse is one of the final steps in the process.

The work is being done by the Paving Division of Hoover Inc., which is headquartered in LaVergne.

Once the work is completed, and workers anticipate being able to finish today, persons who work in the courthouse or are going there to conduct business will once again be able to park in the lot.

That will free up parking spaces around the Woodbury Town Square for customer parking for businesses, which has been a problem since the project began in December.

The revitalization project is scheduled to be completed on July 1. A "Celebration on the Square" to rededicate the courtyard is planned for July 24.
