Musicians are more than happy to be getting back into the routine of touring and getting to play in front of their fans. In what feels like forever since the COVID-19 pandemic which started in March 2020 put a stop to many things including live music.
Live music is back and there are many area venues cranking it up while still providing safety precautions.
Take Hop Springs Beer Park for example, Saturday, June 5th the venue hosted country music star Justin Moore. Moore was the latest in a long line of concert appearances the state of the art microbrewery has hosted in the outdoors. Seating was spaced out to continue to promote social distancing in a very organized format. Moore started off his show by telling the 1500+ in attendance how good it felt to be back out performing in front of the fans.
It was the second outdoor concert Moore has participated in since COVID-19 as he closed out one of the nights at the Lynchburg Music Fest which was rescheduled in September and in both concerts while he expressed his love to be able to return back to the stage, fans in attendance more than welcomed him back to live music.
Moore has released six albums during his music career which started back in 2009. The newest album was just released two months ago. Moore performed his hits to perfection mixing up the slow songs with the upbeat. Fans sang along to songs like "You Look Like I Need a Drink", "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away", moved along to "Bait a Hook" and for the encore didn't miss any words of the Motley Crue cover song turned Moore hit "Home Sweet Home."
Music is back especially in the outdoor venues which Hop Springs can provide.
Hop Springs also has weekend events not only with mid-major to major music acts outdoors but their taproom serves as an intimate setting for music events such as their Sunday Americana Brunch which starts at 11 AM with food and live music starting at 1 with a featured established Americana artist every week.
Their upcoming lineup for outdoor concerts include this weekends Tedeschi Truck Band concerts, Soul Asylum, Everclear, Hoobastank and Living Colour.
Other venues spotlighting outdoor concerts and festivals include
Short Mountain Distillery is hosting their Funwayzer Music Festival July 3rd and 4th. Camping onsite.
Lynchburg Music Fest moves back to July after last years September event. Country music artists Hardy, Cody Johnson, and Parmalee headline the event in Lynchburg July 8-10.
