Services for Opal Pitts, 83, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Sissom officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Gardens.

Visitation is Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Mrs. Pitts died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2013, at the Medical Center of Manchester.

She is survived by her sister, Virginia Mears of Bradyville; two sisters-in-law, Renate Espy of Fayetteville, N.C., and Minerva Banks of Bradyville; two nephews, Eddie and Danny Espy; and her best friend, Dot Tucker of Bradyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Pearl Brown Espy; her husband, Carlton Pitts; and her brothers, Harold and Garold Espy.

A member of Hollow Springs Community Church, Mrs. Opal loved her horses, going to horse shows and working with her husband, Carlton, training and showing horses. She was a retired supervivor at Colonial Corp.
