Ollie William "Bill" Ferrell, Jr., 79, died Friday, January 1, 2010 at his home in Gulfport, MS following an extended illness.

A native of Franklin, TN, Mr. Ferrell was retired from the Air Force, serving during the Korean War, owned and operated a pawn shop, and attended Temple Baptist Church in Gulfport.

He was the son of the late Ollie and Lena Pittman Ferrell.

Survivors include his children, Sharon (Glenn) Sanders and Becky (Danny) Ford all of Hendersonville; Debbie (Nick) Kimmons of Greenbriar; Susie (Mike) Thomas of Charlotte, NC and Buddy Ferrell of Westmoreland.

He is also survived by sisters Lois Holmes and Linda Mullins, both of Manchester, and Betty Duke of Woodbury.

Surviving grandchildren are Glenn Sanders, Jr., John Sanders, Angie Holleman, Rachel Ford, Jason and Kimberly Kimmons and Andrew Thomas; and great-grandchildren Jackson, Tabitha and Isabella Holleman, Ava and Ella Harris McKinley and Jack Thomas and Logan Sanders.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6 with Pastor Benny Benjamin officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
