Claymon "Buck" Francis passed away Fri., August 25, 2017. He was 80 years old. A native of Cannon Co., he was born and raised in the Porterfield. He had many jobs and hobbies in this life time. He worked construction, factory worker, nursery worker, farmer and wood worker with crafts but the job he loved most was spending time with his family. Buck was a member of the Centerhill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Fay Jernigan Francis of Woodbury; 2 Sons, Mike (Carol) Francis and Tony (Sharon) Francis all of Woodbury; 2 Grandchildren, Kasondra Hancock and Felicia (Cody) Brown; 2 Great grandchildren, Gracie Lynn and Macie Rae Hancock.
Born March 6, 1937 to the late Lawton & Mattie Bullard Francis, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Lucy Dean (Joe) Tenpenny; brother, Steve Francis and grandson, Clay Francis.
Funeral Services will be 1 pm Sunday, August 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 3 pm until 8 pm, Saturday August 26, 2017.
