Nichols honored as caretaker of year

Lisa Nichols has been named facility Caregiver of the Year for 2013 by Woodbury Nursing Center and Rehab: Lisa Nichols has worked at the Nursing Center since September 29, 2009.

Lisa Nichols will be recognized on Nursing Home Caregiver Appreciation Day Friday November 22. This day celebrates the achievements of more than 37,000 men and women who provide care to more than 30,000 patients in Tennessee’s nursing homes. 

The Tennessee Health Care Association’s (THCA) Caregiver of the Year program honors those who provide much-needed, round –the-clock support for nursing home residents across the Volunteer State, THCA received 69 facility nominations for 2013. From those nominees, caregivers for THCA’s six geographic districts were named in August at THCA’s annual convention, and the statewide Caregiver of the Year will be announced on Nursing Home Caregiver Appreciation Day in a ceremony at his facility. 

“It takes a team of hardworking employees to provide high-quality care to nursing home residents every day.” Said Administrator, Russell Caughron.” It is an honor to recognize someone who goes the extra mile and has a passion for caregiving that is unmatched.”
