Well another year has come and gone. The CCWHA would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their participation and support for a very successful 2016. We had a record year with more members and riders than ever before. 2017 looks to be a banner year also. We have lots of plans for improvements and upgrades for our organization and campground facilities. We are finally moving ahead on our entrance building. We have purchased the water tap and permits for perk sites. Everyone is looking forward to ground breaking and construction to begin. It will be a central gathering place. It will be used for registering campers, selling t-shirts and other CCWHA memorabilia. It will also serve as a history museum honoring past members and legendary horses. It will also serve as the meeting hall for the monthly board of directors meetings. Most of the funds for this project have been donated thru memorial donations in memory of past horse enthusiast. The board of directors and members have worked on fund raisers to help fund this project. Any donations for this project are still needed and appreciated.

It is the time of year for us to plan for 2017 and the future of the CCWHA. Our annual shareholders and members meeting is scheduled for January 21st at the Lions Club Building. There will be a pot luck supper beginning at 6pm with the meeting to follow and an auction fund raiser to finish up the night. New board members will be elected and other business will be brought before the shareholders for their consideration and vote. One of the biggest items of business for discussion is the possibility of having a "live on site" caretaker for the campground. This will be someone to help with the grounds and help detour some of the vandalism that occurs on a regular basis. This is still in the infancy stages of planning and just a thought for the future growth of our organization. Any suggestions for this project will be entertained at the meeting. Anyone having other business with the CCWHA is encouraged to attend the meeting.

The CCWHA History Book has been a huge success. The feedback has been great. Books are still available for purchase for $100. You can pick up your copy at the annual meeting or at the Woodbury Farmers Co-op.

Mark your calendars now to attend this event. Bring a covered dish and item to donate for the auction and come enjoy the comradery and support the CCWHA.
