Newly Formed Ambulance Authority Announces Meeting

It took almost three hours Monday night but the Cannon County Commission approved the resolution establishing an Ambulance Authority. At the present time the authority is comprised by three members, Dr. Michael Thomas and commissioners Brent Brandon along with Russell Reed. The other two members of the five person member authority will be appointed based on commission approved nominations submitted by county executive Brent Bush. Those nominations are expected to slowly filter in.
With three members on board, a meeting of the ambulance authority will take place Tuesday March 16^th in the courtroom of the Cannon County Courthouse. The authority will name an interim ambulance director to replace current interim director Abbie Howell. Meeting will start at 6:00 p.m.
