Myrtle Road Incident Lands Two In Jail



Two persons were arrested following an altercation on Myrtle Road on Monday, July 18.

Brandy Resha Campbell, 335 Hayes St., Woodbury, was charged with aggravated assault with an automobile on July 18 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike “Doc” Smith.

Campbell allegedly tried to run over Nicholas Butcher with an automobile (truck) by use of deadly force in attempting to cause bodily injury on Butcher. The incident occurred on Myrtle Road. Bond was set at $10,000. Initial court date is Sept. 6.

Separately, Campbell was served a warrant for vandalism on July 18. It is alleged she caused damage or the destruction of a $500 cell phone belonging to Mary Johnson of Milton. Bond was set at $2,500. Initial court date is Sept. 6.

Nicholas James Butcher, 2044 Petty Gap Rd., Woodbury, was charged with public intoxication on July 18 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike “Doc” Smith.

Butcher was on Myrtle Road allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance or another intoxicating substance to the degree that he may have endangered himself, other persons, or property. Butcher also unreasonably annoyed people.

There was a fight with Brandy Campbell and Campbell did attempt to run down Butcher with a truck.

Bond was set at $500. Initial court date is Sept. 6.
