Myrtes Cooper Alexander

Myrtes Cooper Alexander, 86, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at Community Care of Rutherford Co.

A Cannon Co. native, she lived in Auburntown. She was a member of Sanders Fork Baptist Church and a seamstress at Colonial Corp. for 40 years.

Survivors:

Granddaughter, Doris Ann (Bo) Davis of Murfreesboro; 4 great grandchildren, Kayce, Tyler, Andrew, Matthew Davis of Murfreesboro; 1 great great grandchild, Robert Alexander Davis of Murfreesboro; sister, Joyce Leach of Auburntown; brother, Prentice (Hazel) Cooper of Portland, daughter-in-law; Anna Faye Alexander of Murfreesboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie & Susie Bogle Cooper; husband, Jesse Alexander; 2 sons, Donald and Doris Alexander; great granddaughter, Dustie Davis; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Mar. 1, 2012 with  Bro. Marvin Davenport officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Gardens.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012.

Her great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
