Criminal littering

Sgt. Tommy Miller was dispatched to the Red Hill Road area where he spotted 10 white trash bags on the side of the road. Upon investigation, Miller discovered several pieces of mail addressed to Jeffery Alexander on Petty Gap Road.

Miller then went to Alexander's address where he made contact with the suspect.

"I then asked him why his trash bags were laying on the side of the road on Red Hill Road. Mr. Alexander stated that he was on his way to work and that the dump was closed so he just stopped on Red Hill Road and threw the trash out of his car," Miller reported.

Alexander acknowledged what he did was wrong and agreed to retrieve the trash, Miller said.
