Middle School X-country wins

Cannon County's girls won the middle school meet at Warren County with Zettie Elrod leading the way.

Elrod finished fourth overall. Madelyn Hale, Madison Gaither and Isabella Russo were fifth through seventh, respectively, and Olivia Walkup was ninth.

In a meet at Milton Saturday, Duncan Cook finished second overall in a 13-team meet. Matthew Elmy was 24th, followed by Zettie Elrod (27th overall), Angela Vassar (39th) and Gaither (40th). Cook, Elmy, Elrod, Vassar and Gaither all medaled.

Both the boys and girls finished seventh out of 13 teams in the competitive meet.
