Middle Grades Football Among Sports Tonight

The Cannon County Middle Grades Lions Football team will be headed to Community School in Unionville tonight. The Lions are 2-1. It will be the first time the team has played in a game in 12 days while this marks the second time in four days the Vikings have participated in a game after playing Monday at Westwood in Manchester. Tonight's game will be audio broadcasted live via Facebook Live on the Cannon Courier News and Events Facebook page. We will also broadcast on the website www.readyradio.info

More rain threatens the area, but if the weather holds off the Cannon County High School Golf teams will be traveling to play on the same golf course as the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles play. Cannon County is scheduled to meet Smith County weather permitting on the Golden Eagles Golf Course in Cookeville at 3:30 today.

Fresh off a 4-1 win Tuesday night in Gainesboro against Jackson County, the Cannon County Lionettes soccer team will travel next door to meet district rival Watertown. The two teams played two classic soccer matches last season. Cannon is 1-1 overall ad 0-1 in District play. The game starts at 6:00 tonight.

Cannon County High School Volleyball team is the only sport that hosts a game tonight in Woodbury. The team will play district opponent Spring Hill at Robert A. Harris Gym tonight starting at 5:00 for J.V. and 6:00 for Varsity.
