Michael Clay Johnson, 36, of Woodbury, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Brother Dorris Hughes officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009 at the funeral home after 4 p.m.

Interment will be in Centerhill Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.

Born in DeKalb County, he is survived by his wife, Miranda Higgins Johnson of McMinnville; a son, Michael Austin Johnson; his mother, Judy (Donny) Swann of Murfreesboro; his father, Gary (Linda) Johnson of Murfreesboro; a sister, Carol (Junior) Davis of Woodbury; nephews Ethan Curtis of California and Josh Davis of Woodbury; a niece, Kelli Davis of Woodbury; and parents Burt and Wilma Johnson of Woodbury.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Medford and Katherine Bogle.

In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at First National Bank for Mike's son, Austin.
