Max Britnell, age 77, died Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his home following an extended illness.

He was a native of Marion Co., AL and the son of the late Charlie and Ivie Markham Britnell. Max was also preceded in death by three sisters, Geneva Britnell, Dessie Howell and Gladys Gregg and three brothers, Hubert, Ed, and Bill Britnell.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Fletcher of Woodbury; son, Jeremy Lynn Britnell of Sparta; grand daughter, Hanna Miller Britnell of Nashville; sister, Linda Gail Lawler of Muscle Shoals, AL; brother, Jimmy Dale Britnell of Mt. Juliet. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 19 at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Thurman Seber and Randy Gregg officiating. Burial followed at Odom Cemetery. Visitation was from 3:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Auburn Baptist Church Building Fund.

Max was a long time employee of Colonial Corp. and retired from Heritage Farms in Murfreesboro. He was a member of the Auburn Baptist Church.
