Mary Emberton Melton, age 82, of Woodbury passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at Woodbury Health Care Center. She was a native of Cannon Co.

Survivors include her children, Mack (Debbie) Melton of Woodbury, Carolyn Ann (Kenny) Simpson of Woodbury, Rita Beecham of Reagan, TN, and Jerry Melton of Woodbury; Siblings, Marie Davis Rogers of Woodbury and Larry Emberton of Woodbury; 6 Grandchildren, Jesse (April) Melton, Mandy (Kyle) Gay, Billy (Katie) Simpson, Kimberly Lynn, Kesha (Joe) Morris, and Michelle Beecham. Also surviving are 12 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Melton; parents, Jesse & Mary Etta Adcock Emberton; daughter, Wanda Faye Melton; and Sister, Wilma Davis.

Ms. Melton was a member of the Bethlehem Church of Christ and was a retired seamstress from Colonial Corporation.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, October 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Boyd Barker officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 9 PM Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the funeral home.
