Mary Alice Ferrell Parker, 79, of Woodbury passed away February 14, 2020 at her home.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Grover Parker of Woodbury; children, Brenda (Teddy) Rains, Denton Parker, Lynn Parker, Dale Parker, Thomas Parker and his fiancée, Kaitlin Patterson; grandchildren, Luke Parker and Macy Scott and siblings, Levonia Gill, Margie Luna, Jewell Knowles and Ellis Ferrell.

A native of Cannon Co., Ms. Parker was the daughter of the late Marshall and Josephine Durham Ferrell. As a young woman, she worked at Short Mtn. School Cafeteria, Woodbury Shirt Factory and Stones River Hospital Cafeteria. Most of all, she was a homemaker and a farmer's wife. Her and Grover married March 1, 1963 and they raised five loving children.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers and music. She prepared many meals for her family and friends in her home with never a stranger at her dinner table. She was a member of Ivy Bluff church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Nannie Cantrell, Houston Ferrell, Limmer Lee Estes, Lamon Ferrell, Bertha Layhew, Carmen Watson, Joe Brown Ferrell, Burley Ferrell and Pauline Davenport.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Hoover and Richard Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 4 pm until 8:30 pm and Sunday from 9 am until time of service.
