Funeral services for Martha Oleta Markum, 88, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013 at Woodbury Funeral Home. A member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, she was retired from Colonial Corporation.

Survivors include her children, Donald (Lucille) Markum of Bradyville, Isaac Markum (friend Susie Weaver) of Woodbury and Martha Ann (Ronny) Daniels of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Ricky Markum, Larry (Carol) Markum, Isaac Markum Jr., Peggy Sue (Jason) Hodge, Melissa (Jeff) Bush, Louise Long and Leo, Crystal Duncan (Billy), James Hoyte Markum Jr, and Carl Wayne Markum; siblings, Joe Don (Bobbie) Hale of Bradyville, Polly Mitchell of Lebanon and Leova Cavazos of Michigan; 17 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lester and Helen Elizabeth Taylor Hale; husband, Fred Hoyte "Popeye" Markum, sons, James Hoyte, Jimmy Wayne and Carl Hubert Markum; and siblings, Cleveland, Lovell, William, Delter and Chalmus Hale.
