Martha J. Hays

Martha J. Hays, age 84, of Auburntown died Sunday July 26, 2015 at St. Thomas Rutherford E/R. She was a native of the Roundtop Community of Wilson Co.

Survivors include her daughter, Marna (John) Higgins of Auburntown; Grandchildren, Andy, Allison, & Amelia Higgins, all of Auburntown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hudson & Maude Foutch Jennings; and Husband, Edward Fite Hays.

Mrs. Hays was a member of the Woodbury First Baptist Church and was a teller at Bank of Auburn for 44 years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, & cooking for her family and friends. Mrs. Hays loved spending time with her daughter and her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Hunter Hay officiating. Interment will follow at Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 PM Tues., July 28, 2015 at the funeral home.
