Man Looking For 'Baby Mama' Charged With DUI



Steven Cyle Medley, 117-A McBroom St., Woodbury, was charged with DUI on May 27 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy M.J. Parsley following a traffic stop on S. Clinch St.

Medley was observed driving on E. Main St. in the left turn lane with his left turn signal on, but then made a right turn from the left lane.

He drove into the Quick Shop parking lot and ran into a concrete curb. The vehicle then left the parking lot and was straddling the yellow line and stopped at a green light. Medley then made a wide right turn and struck the curb on Highway 53 traveling south bound.

The vehicle was later observed on S. Clinch St. traveling on the wrong side of the road at night with no headlights on.  

Once stopped, Medley said he was headed to McBroom St., but was out looking for his "baby mama."

Medley takes prescription medication. He admitted to taking a Loritab prior to driving. He also had an odor of an alcoholic intoxicant about his person, according to the report.

Bond was set at $2,000. Initial court date is July 10.
