Mamie Jane Taylor Parker, 81, died Friday, January 3, 2014 at Stones River Hospital. A native of Cannon County, she was a member of the Simmons Chapel Free Methodist Church where she was also the Sunday School church secretary for many years. She also worked at Colonial Corp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Molly Taylor; husband, Kenneth Parker; daughter, Brenda Parker; brother, Clyde Taylor; sisters, Myrtle (Ed) Manus, Gracie (Lanus) Burks; sister-in-law, Norma Vance; brother-in-law, Kenneth Simpson; niece, Tracey Todd; great nephew, Logan Parker.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Linda Parker of Woodbury; granddaughters, Tiffany (Todd) Gannon and Whitney Parker of Woodbury; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Grady (Alice) Parker of Murfreesboro, Roy (Shirley) Parker, Coy (Patsy) Parker, Billy Vance, all of Woodbury. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins and extended family at Woodbury Nursing Center.

Funeral services were Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Wheeler officiating. Burial was in Cherry Cemetery.
