Lucille (Stephens) Tenpenny

Lucille (Stephens) Tenpenny, 89, of Woodbury died September 7, 2009. She was born July 2, 1920 in Cannon County. Her parents were the late Joe Dillard Stephens and Delia (Melton) Stephens. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William Alex Tenpenny; two brothers, Jip Stephens and Clarence Stephens, Sr.; one half-brother, Thomas Burch; one sister, Eula May (Stephens) Moore and one half-sister, Thelma (Burch) Yates.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Danny Goff of Woodbury; a sister, Jodean (Stephens) Reel of Grayville, TN; three grandsons; Robert Ferrell of Woodbury, William Ferrell of Woodbury and Gregory Goff of Auburntown; also surviving are three great grandsons.

Mrs. Tenpenny was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Magnatech.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 2-9 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Bobby Zumbro will officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund by contacting Smith Funeral Home.
