Local Web site posts incorrect information about Courier

UPDATE: Another mindless, irrational tirade against the Courier has been posted today (7-19) by this site, yet still no correction of the erroneous information. We are beginning to suspect that posting unverified information is their common practice.

Apparently not content with simply correcting the inaccurate information that it posted earlier, another local Web site has now engaged in a series of delusional accusations against the Courier.

The Cannon Courier has nothing to "hide" from its readers, as the site claims. We will proudly and honestly announce any changes if, and when, they take place.

The site also expresses its dismay that we do not mention it by name. Considering that it has posted information that is false, we did not wish to embarrass it further.

A local Web site has posted incorrect information about the Cannon Courier. To set the record straight: The Cannon Courier has not yet been sold. The new editor is not from McMinnville. The Southern Standard newspaper is in no way involved in any pending purchase of the Courier. Despite claims to the contrary, it is factually accurate that the Courier is not involved in any pending sale with The Southern Standard, or any entity associated with The Standard.
