Local Students Place High In State Tar Wars Contest

The 2012 Tennessee Tar Wars state-wide Poster Contest was recently held at the Embassy Suites Cool Springs in Franklin, Tennessee.

First place winner in the 2012 Tennessee Tar Wars Poster Contest is Jacob Phelps, a 4th grader at Lafayette Elementary School in Lafayette, Tennessee.  Jacob’s poster will be entered into the National Tar Wars Poster Contest in Washington D.C. on July 16-17.

 Jacob’s prize for winning first place is a paid trip for himself and one of his parents to attend the National Poster Contest in Washington D.C. in July.
