Lions Meet Indians In Region Battle Tonight In Woodbury

The end to a very successful week of Cannon County High School Sports comes to a close with tonight's region football game between the Cannon County Lions and Sequatchie County Indians from Dunlap. Lionettes soccer while they didn't necessarily win a game this week, they did accomplish a 1-1 tie in a very competitive game against Upperman Tuesday night.
The Lionettes volleyball team picked up two wins in a row Tuesday and Wednesday beating Giles County and Shelbyville. You can look for the game summaries for each in the upcoming issue of the Cannon Courier.
Tonight at Fred Schwartz Field, the Lions look to continue momentum. Cannon made a statement with a win over 6A school Warren County last week. That game helped prepare them for this week's important region contest of the early season against Sequatchie County. Both teams are 1-1 overall entering the game.
Tonight's game at Fred Schwartz Field will be streaming live over the internet on the website cannonsource.com.
