Rebekah Faulkner is relishing in her role for the Cannon County Lionettes.

The junior forward scored a season-high 12 points, pulled four rebounds and blocked a shot as Cannon County turned back pesky Cascade, 66-48, at Robert A. Harris Gymnasium Tuesday (Nov. 27).

Abbey Sissom led the Lionettes (6-0) with 24 points on 11-of-19 shooting. She also dished out seven assists and collected four steals. Abby Jakes finished with 13 points, six assists, six steals and five rebounds. Ashley Basham had another stellar defensive game. The stalwart blocked six shots and pulled nine rebounds. Senior Jordan Hollis finished with six points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Faulkner has been consistent and solid off of the bench for the Lionettes during their 7-0 start.

“She rebounds, she blocks out, she plays defense and she plays hard,” Lionettes Head Coach Michael Dodgen said. “She has been playing very well.”

Cannon County broke the game open in the third quarter when it outscored Cascade 19-8.
