By COL. JIM STONE
Representative Mark Pody presented a Legislative Proclamation signed by Governor Bill Haslam to Sergeant Bryson Bell in honor of Sergeant Bell's selection as the "Young Marine of the Year" for the Marine Battalion for all of Middle Tennessee.
This is truly a great accomplishment for Bryson Bell. He has demonstrated that he has the necessary leadership traits required to be one of our top military leaders. Bryson's dedication, devotion, and drive to be an officer in our military is not new. Bryson was 4 years old when I first met him, at the annual veterans day parade, in full military uniform, with another great military man, Charles Luther Mooneyham, Sergeant, United States Air Force.
Sergeant Bell has been to every annual veterans day parade since. Sergeant Bell and his special team, is the official "Color Guard" for the Hilton Stone American Legion Post 279 in Woodbury. Bryson Bell has all of the makings to be one of this country's top generals in our military. Keep your eye on this young man, he is on the move to be one of the great leaders of this great country. Bryson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Bell. Congratulations!
