Keith Merritt, age 67 of Murfreesboro, passed away August 31, 2015 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was a native of Cannon Co.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Elkins Merritt of Murfreesboro; Daughter, April Merritt White of Smyrna; Granddaughter, Victoria Elaine White of Smyrna. Also surviving are several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Merritt & Hattie Mai Gilley Merritt; and a son, Allen Keith Merritt.

Mr. Merritt was a member of the church of Christ and was a machinist at Quality Industries.

Funeral services were held 1 PM Thursday, September 3, 2015 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Gilley officiating. Interment followed at Elkins Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Woodbury Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodbury Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.
