Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Brandon Gullett was dispatched to 660 Knox Road on Oct. 26 following a report of trespassing.

While en route he was advised the vehicle was going to be a white Ford Ranger that had pulled in behind a barn on the complaintant's property.

Upon arrival he was met by a gray Ford Ranger that was sitting behind a barn full of hay. Deputy Gullet than walked upon the vehicle and observed several subjects standing outside.

Deputy Gullett stated he was with the Sheriff's Office and the subjects standing outside the vehicle then got inside. He drew his service weapon and ordered them out of the vehicle one at a time.

Once getting the driver out, Deputy Gullett had him walk back to the rear of the vehicle. He then, along with Deputy Travis Turney, got the other three subjects and brought them all to the rear of the vehicle.

Duputy Gullett conducted a search of the driver, finding in his left jacket pocket a lighter straw with white residue on it and a piece of aluminum foil that was burnt on the bottom. Deputy Gullett also searched the other two males but did not find anything on their person.

Deputy Gullett had all subjects contact their parents as they were juveniles. The two male subjects who were found to not have anything illegal in their possession were released to their parents without charges.

Upon searching the vehicle, Deputy Gullett found a clear plastic baggie containing a green leafy substance on the floorboard. The juvenile driver said that all them items found belong to him and he wasn't trying to get anyone else in trouble.

Deputy Moss wrote out release citations for Possession of Schedule VI Drugs, Possession of Schedule II Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A later test of the foil residue returned positive for Methamphetamine. The offender was served with juvenile petitions on Oct. 29. He is scheduled to appear in juvenile court.

• Deputies Eric Moss and Matt Parsley went to 2098 Dickens Hill Rd. on Oct. 27 to serve an arrest warrant on Steven Ruth for worthless check.

• Deputy Eric Moss went to 130 McBroom St. on Oct. 28 and served an arrest warrant on Justin Deaton for worthless checks.

• Jennifer Deese was served a warrant for Capias on Nov. 1 by CCSD Deputy Eric Moss after Deputy Moss observed her driving through town and stopped her at Osborne's Bi-Rite.

• Russell Preston, 10114 Ivy Bluff Rd., Bradyville, reported to Deputy Steve McMillen on Oct. 28 that someone had driven through his vinyl white fence that runs along the side Ivy Bluff Rd. on Oct. 26. Damage was estimated at $500.

• Deputy Steve McMillen was dispatched to Davenport's Service Station on Oct. 27 Upron arrival he spoke with Mike Hutchins of 6524 McMinnville Hwy., Woodbury, who reported that someone had put sugar in his gas tank. Damage was estimated at $250.

• Deputy Travis Turney and Sgt. Anthony Young responded to a report of Dog at Large on Oct. 29 on Short Mountain Road. They advised with owner of the dog, Terry Sanders, that he would need to keep the dog in his yard in the future or he could be charged.

• Sgt. Anthony Young took a report of stolen license tags from Paula Bombard on Oct. 29 at the CCSD.
