The Jr. Beta has a big "Shout Out" to everyone who stopped in or picked up carryouts from their fundraiser Wednesday. This is to help them make the trip to New Orleans, LA for the National Convention.

So glad to hear "little" Johnny Kennedy was not seriously injured in a car accident while on his way to school last Friday morning. He did suffer a horribly but not compound fraction of his wrist which required surgical intervention and also a fractured ankle. From the looks of the car, it could have been much worse.

Prosperity Baptist Church ladies enjoyed a weekend at the Missions Get-together and Connection held in Gatlinburg. Making the trip were Sherry Plattenburg, Patricia Lance, Wanda Ray, Gina Halstead, Kathy Pugh, Barbara Cantrell, Cindy Moody, Lesa Hayes and Linda Hayes. Not only did they enjoy the conferences they attended but several restaurants around were tried out as well as a little time to get in some shopping. (remember it was a women's trip!!)

Monday, P-pa and I enjoyed eating lunch with our son, Ray. We thank you for the prayers for him.

Just a reminder about our volunteer fire department. They are working to update their turnout gear as it is outdated by the NFPA standards. You can give by clicking on the gofundme facebook page to donate and of course, if you see one of our volunteers you may also give to them.
