Jo Ann Akers Cunningham, 79 passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at her home following an extended illness She was a native of Pikeville, KY and was a resident of Murfreesboro.

She is survived by her children, Jonda (Bill) Earls of Ashland City, Jennifer Damron and Johnnie (Deborah) Damron both of Nashville, Jeffrey Lee (Harriet) Damron and Sean Damron both of Murfreesboro; 15 Grandchildren, Randy Mangrum, Ryan Earls, Lee Earls, April Young, Daniel Beshears, Allison Cunningham, Cole Reed, Barydon Damron, Brittany Rublee, Andrea Damron, Ashley Shepard, Jessica Damron, Sean Damron, II, Tristen Damron & Dakota Caswell; Great Grandchildren, Jasmine Mangrum, David Mangrum, Aaliyah Nicholson, Mason & Madison Young, Holdyn Beshears, Aubree Beshears, Kaylee White, Jeremy Bowen, Kiersten & Makayla Rublee; Great Great Grandchild, Bentley Mangrum and siblings, Woody (Mabel) Akers and Scottie (Marlene) Akers of Pikeville, KY and Bill Akers of MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley & Melissa Akers and her husband, Buddy Clark Cunningham.

Ms. Cunningham was a member of the Baptist church and was retired from Woodbury Grammar School Cafeteria. Jo Ann was such a sweet soul who loved to tell a good joke and go to Goodwill but her greatest asset was her grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Sunday, April 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Baggott officiating. Interment will follow in the Thyatira Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon to 6 pm Saturday, April 29, 2017
