Jimmie D. Lewis Sr.

McMinnville, TN resident and Cannon County, TN native Jimmie D. Lewis, Sr., age 93, was born July 16, 1929 and died March 31, 2023 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.
A retired owner of Middle Tennessee Carpet Company, he was the son of the late Cecil and Minnie Hill Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Mr. Lewis is survived by children, Ronald (Carol) Lewis of McMinnville, TN, Russell Lewis of Murfreesboro, TN, Jimmie (Teresa) Lewis of Woodbury, TN, Gretchen (Carl) Byford of Smithville, TN and Morgan Lewis; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2023 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN with Brock Lillis officiating. There will be no service or visitation at High Funeral Home.
