Jerry Wayne Underwood

Jerry Wayne Underwood, 60, died Saturday, March 12, 2011, at his home following an extended illness.

A resident of McMinnville, he was born in Cannon County.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Lou Francis Underwood of McMinnville; three children, Terry (Kimberly) Underwood and James (Kathy) Underwood, all of Morrison, and Jennifer Stone of Woodbury; four brothers, James Robert Underwood of Oxford, AL, Don Underwood and Nathan Underwood, both of Morrison, and David Underwood of Woodbury; grandchildren, Kayla Kay Underwood, Amanda Underwood, Shelly Stone, Dustin Underwood and Ashley Underwood; great grandchild, Elizabeth Underwood.

Mr. Underwood was the son of the late James Albert Underwood and Alberta Manus Underwood.

A member of the Center Hill Baptist Church, he was retired from Carrier Corp.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was from 3 to 10 p.m. Sunday and will be Monday to 10 p.m.
