Jerry Lee Shelton

Services for Jerry Lee Shelton, 71, of Woodbury, will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Reed Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 at Woodbury Funeral Home.

A member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, Mr. Shelton served in the National Guard. He was retired from Samsonite and was custodian at Woodbury Grammar School.

A Coffee County native, he died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at MTMC.

Survivors include his wife, Nonnie Davenport Shelton of Woodbury; a son, Randy (Patty) Foster of Manchester; step-daughter, Cindy Simmons of California; son-in-law, Kenneth Grizzle of Woodbury; siblings, Nicky (Nancy) Shelton of Woodbury, Edith Vanatta of Murfreesboro and Marsha Brown of Coffee County; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Gladys and Gerald and Margarat Davenport, all of Woodbury; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
