Services for James Theodore Bush, 91, of Howell, MI will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25 at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia, MI and burial at Glen Eden Memorial Cemetery, Livonia, MI.

The youngest of 11 children, Mr. Bush was born in Bradyville on July 2, 1921 and attended Woodbury High School. A talented athlete, he attended Tennessee Polytechnic Institute (Tennessee Tech University) where he received a baseball scholarship.

Joining the military in December 1942, he served with the U.S. Marines in the Pacific and was discharged in December 1945. Following his military service during World War II, he attended Middle Tennessee State College under the G.I. Bill.

He lived in Michigan for 48 years and was preceded in death by his son, Terry Bush, and his wife, Wavil West Bush. They were married 60 years and Mrs. Bush, along with her husband, was a Cannon County native.

 The son of the late James Lafayette and Eula Jane Bush, he is survived by his daughter, Janie Loper of Howell, MI; his grandchildren, Tracy, Kelly, Shannon of Michigan and Jason of Australia; his 10 great-grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Helen Alexander of Woodbury and Ruth Pugh of Liberty and Lois Bush of Murfreesboro; his brother-in-law, WC West of Murfreesboro and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stones River Manor Benevolent Fund, 205 Haynes Drive, Murfreesboro.
