James Leasher Hale, 91, a longtime resident of Cannon County passed away June 23, 2020 at the Church of Christ Care Center in Clinton Township, MI. He was born in Detroit, MI. on May 2, 1929.
James is survived by two daughters, Donna Marie (Ellen) of Clinton Township, MI., Deanna Jo (William) of Lincoln Park, MI., granddaughter Danielle Marie of Lincoln Park, MI., sister Agnes Juanita Ross of Farmington Hills, MI., cousin Wanda Beatrice Mears of McMinnville, TN., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mance Martin and Mabel Lee and his siblings, Gene Lester of Winnsboro, TX., Bernice Williams of McMinnville, TN., Billie Mario of McMinnville, TN. and Bud Nolan of San Diego, CA.
He worked in the transportation repair field for Fruehauf Trailer Company, Pezzani & Reid Trailer Service and owned his own company Bestway Trailer Repair, Inc. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a mechanic that enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and small engine equipment in his retirement.
There will be no funeral service. Interment will be at the Center Hill Cemetery in Cannon County, TN.
