James Gordon Summar, age 89, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at NHC Healthcare-Murfreesboro. He was a life long resident of Auburntown, TN.

Survivors include his two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Barrett of Murfreesboro and Jamie Summar of Nashville; Granddaughter, Julie Walker of Readyville; Great-Grandson, Blake Walker; and Great-Great Granddaughter, McKenna Walker.

Mr. Summar was preceded in death by his parents, Mack J. Summar & Norene Smith Summar and his wife, Nell Witty Summar.

He was a member of the Auburn Baptist Church, veteran of World War II serving in the army, and a retired livestock dealer. He was a partner in the Murfreesboro Livestock Market and the Dekalb Livestock Market at Alexandria.

Services will be 1 PM Tuesday, June 23, at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Donnell Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 PM to 8 PM Monday, June 22, and Tuesday, June 23, at 12 (noon) until time of service.
