Irony Found In Home Of Alleged Meth Offenders

Three meth labs were discovered in as many homes in Cannon County last week.

While in the process of conducting their investigation at one of the homes, Cannon County Sheriff’s officers found the following poem, apparently copied in longhand by one of the suspects, attached to a mirror in a bathroom. It was likely derived from similar poems available on the Internet.

While the poem warns of the dangers involved in using meth, it wasn’t enough to deter those arrested from allegedly making it at one of the locations. A total of 12 people were arrested in the course of the three busts.

I destroy homes, I tear families apart,

I take your children and that’s just the start.

Just try once and I might let you go,

But if you try me twice, I am your soul.

I’ll take everything from you, your looks and your pride,

I’ll be with you always, right by your side.

By then it’s too late, you’ll know in your heart,

That you are now mine and we shall not part.

My power is awesome, as I told you before,

I can take your mother and make her a whore.

I have many names, but there’s one you’ll know best,

I’m sure you’ve heard of me, my name is Crystal Meth.

Now that you’ve met me, what will you do?,

Will you try me or now, it’s all up to you.

I can show you more misery than words can tell,

Come hold my hand, let me lead you to hell.
