Howard Lynn Smith, 67, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Stones River Hospital E/R.

A resident of Bradyville, Mr. Smith was a native of Union County. A member of the Cornerstone Community Church, he was a retired machinist and welder. He loved his grandchildren.

Survivors:

Wife of 47 years: Donna D. Dugan Smith of Bradyville.

3 Children: Wilma L. Mason (Todd) of Atlanta, Leslie E. Burden (Scott) of Cape Coral, FL, Thomas D. Smith (Sandy) of Murfreesboro.

5 Siblings: Betty Shepherd & Robert E. Smith both of Russiaville, IN, Lee E. Smith of Maynardville, TN, Carl E. Smith of Argos, IN and Becky Masters of Indianapolis, IN.

6 Grandchildren: James and Matthew Burden, Tamarah Taylor, Lynsey and Rusty Smith and Hunter Mason.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett L. Smith and Gracie E. Norton Smith.  

Funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Community Church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18 with Bro. Rick McFerrin and Lts. Andy and Monica Seiler officiating.  

Burial will be in Cherry Cemetery.

Visitation will be from  6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Cornerstone Community Church, 50 Locke Creek Rd., Woodbury.
