Hoops Teams Will Face Rival DeKalb Friday

Cannon County's scheduled basketball games at rival DeKalb County will be played as scheduled Friday, according to school officials.

CCHS Athletics Director and Head Girls Basketball Coach Michael Dodgen said both schools and their officials have been in contact and have agreed to play the game as several contests already have been postponed.

The No. 3-ranked Lionettes (16-2, 2-0) will tip off against DeKalb County at 6 p.m., with the boys playing 15 minutes following the girls game.

Both Cannon County teams will be looking for the season sweep.

Dates also have been set for Cannon County three postgames games. They are:

Jan. 17 - vs Upperman at CCHS
Jan. 24 - at Livingston Academy
Feb. 12 - at York

All games start at 6 p.m.
