Gloria's husband Darryl, who is director of maintenance for Cannon County, built The Hen House for his wife's chickens. “I wanted it to have a rustic look and be appealing to people as they drove by,” Darryl said. In addition to the windows and swing, the upscale chicken house also features a basket on the porch with handcarved wooden eggs.
