I was born in Good Samaritan Hospital, Woodbury, TN to Nolan "Dude" Northcutt and Annie Lefevers Northcutt. I am a graduate of Woodbury High School, Class of 1954, Nashville Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, a retired public health nurse, wife of 58 years to a retired Air Force veteran, John McBride, and mother of 5 children who have blessed me with 7 exceptional grandchildren. We retired to Cannon County 20 years ago to a beautiful "holler" where we live in a refurbished log cabin, built in 1847.

I started quilting 25 years ago after taking a quilting class at a quilt shop in Stone Mountain, GA, and have been hooked on quilting since I made my first quilt- a queen size, hand quilted Ohio star. I am a charter member of the Manchester Ladies Quilt Guild and a member of two small Friendship Quilt groups. I am involved with Journeys Into Community Living, a program that serves mentally challenged adults, and have made quilts for their charity auctions for several years. I serve as vice chairman of the Friends of Adams Memorial Library.

The Arts Center is located on 1424 John Bragg Highway, just west of the town of Woodbury, approximately 20 minutes from Murfreesboro, Manchester, and McMinnville and one hour southeast of Nashville. Admission to Cannon Hall is free and open to the public. Office hours are 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
