Guilty Pleas For DUI, Drugs Entered In General Sessions



Guilty pleas for DUI and drug offenses were accepted by Cannon County General Sessions Court Judge Susan Melton on Tuesday, July 19.

The results of some of the cases on the docket are as follows:

• Brandy L. Hall pled guilty to DUI 1st offense. She was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. She was ordered to serve 48 hours in the county jail and given credit for six hours served. She was also fined $350, ordered to pay court costs, and surrender her driver’s license for one year.

• Zachary Ryan Wallen pled guilty to DUI. He received a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, ordered to serve 48 hours in the county jail, placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $350, assessed court costs, and ordered to surrender his license for one year. Wallen also pled guilty to driving on a revoked license. He was given a 6 month suspended sentence and 6 months probation, fined $50, assessed court costs, and ordered to surrender his license for a year.

• Jim Alan Morris pled guilty to possession of Schedule VI drugs with intent to sell. He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, placed on probation for an equal amount of time, fined $250 and assessed court costs. He also pled guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and an equal amount of time on probation, fined $150 and assessed court costs. A charge of unlicensed driver was reset for Sept. 20.

• Jennifer Marie Reid entered a conditional plea of guilty to simple possession of marijuana. She was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $250 and ordered to pay court costs.

• Justin J. McGee pled guilty to the charge of simple possession of marijuana. He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $250 and ordered to pay court costs.

• Wesley Jacob Hayes entered a conditional plea of guilty to the charge of aggravated criminal trespass. His case was continued for 11 months, 29 days subject to good and lawful behavior. He was ordered to attend an anger management class and pay court costs.

• Timothy Hupp pled guilty to violation of probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve his entire sentence.

• Bridgette Shyanne Johnson entered a conditional plea of guilty to criminal trespass. Her case was continued for 11 months, 29 days subject to good and lawful conduct. She was assessed court costs and ordered not to enter the property of South Ridge Apartments.

• Dennis Ray Curtis was found guilty of speeding following a preliminary hearing. He was fined $2 and assessed court costs. Judge Melton found sufficient evidence to bind over to the September term of the Cannon County Grand Judy charges of DUI 1st offense, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of the implied consent law.

• Matthew Lawrence Feragola pled guilty to driving on a suspended license and was given a 6 month suspended sentence and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was fined $100 and ordered to pay court costs.

• Rebecca Paige Bynum pled guilty to theft under $500. She was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, ordered to serve 30 days in the Cannon County Jail, placed on probation for 10 months, 29 days, and assessed court costs. Bynum also pled guilty to criminal trespass, was given a 30 suspended sentence, and placed on probation for 30 days. She also pled guilty to violation of probation. Her probation was revoked and she was ordered to serve 30 days and pay the cost of the warrant.

• Jimmy Dean Robinson pled guilty to filing a false report. He was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, ordered to serve 10 days in the county jail, placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $250 and assessed court costs.

• Lisa Tanton pled guilty to driving while license revoked. She was given a partially suspended sentence of 9 months in the county jail, ordered to serve 22 days, given credit for time served, fined $50, assessed court costs, and placed on probation for 9 months.

• Jeffrey Dewayne Nichols pled guilty to driving without a license. He was given a 30 day suspended sentence, placed on probation for 30 days, fined $25 and ordered to pay court costs. Nichols also pled guilty to violation of probation. His probation was revoked and then extended for 11 months, 27 days. He was also ordered to pay court costs and fines.

• Susan Kelli Norvell pled guilty to reckless endangerment. She was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, order to serve 10 days in the county jail, placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $525 and assessed court costs.

• Chad Michael Owens pled guilty to violation of probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve 28 days in the county jail, and given credit for time serve. He was placed back on probation for 9 months, 15 days and he was assessed court costs.

• Tracy Mitchell Young had a charge of domestic assault continued for 11 months, 29 days subject to maintaining good and lawful contact. He is to have no contact with the victim.

• Brittney Faye Tenpenny pled guilty to driving on a suspended license. She was given a partially suspended sentence of 5 months, 10 days, ordered to serve 10 days, given credit for time served, and placed on probation for 5 months, 10 days. She was also fined $100 and assessed court costs.

• William Drake pled guilty to violation of probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve 28 days in the county jail, and given credit for time served. He was placed back on probation for 6 months and ordered to pay court costs.

• Ernest Samuel Paris pled guilty to public intoxication. He was given a 30 day suspended sentence, placed on probation for 30 days, fined $50 and assessed court costs.

• Joshua Van Reed pled guilty to driving without a license. He received a 30 day suspended sentence, 30 days probation, a $2 fine and assessed court costs.

• Shannon Dawn Moody pled guilty to allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle. She was given a 6 month suspended sentence, 6 months probation, fined $50 and assessed court costs.

• Michael Allen Baker pled guilty to violation of probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve his original sentence.

Angel Marie Roy entered a conditional plea of guilty to domestic assault. Her case was continued for six months subject to maintaining good and lawful conduct.

• Joshua Underwood pled guilty to speed (81/55). He was fined $2 and ordered to pay court costs.

• Tiffany Mullins Cross had a charge of simple assault dismissed without cost.

• Bobby Jerome Davenport, Jr. forfeited a cash bond on a worthless check charge and the case was dismissed.

• Julie Gibson forfeited a cash bond on a worthless check charges and the case was dismissed.

• Heather N. Smith forfeited a cash bond on a worthless check charge and the case was dismissed.

• Aaron J. Brewer applied for judicial division on a charge of simple possession of a Schedule II drug and was reset for Sept. 27.

• Kathryn Elizabeth York applied for judicial diversion on a charge of violation of the 18-20 consumption law. Her case was reset for Sept. 20.

• David Allen Bedwell, charged with driving on a suspended license 2nd offense, was reset for July 26.

Dallas Jay Rogers, charged with domestic assault and driving on a suspended license (two counts), failed to appear. An active Capias for his arrest already exists.

• Samantha Joy Briggs, charged with disorderly conduct, failed to appear. She is reportedly incarcerated in Rutherford County.

• Jessica Nicole Davis failed to appear on charges of driving on a suspended license (two counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia. A Capias was issued for her arrest.

• Ace Jerome Barrett, charged with DUI 1st offense and violation of the implied consent law, was reset for Aug. 9.

• Walter Larry Bess, charged with violation of probation, was reset for Aug. 30.

• Justin Glenn Page, charged with driving on a suspended license, failed to appear. He is reportedly incarcerated in Wilson County.

• Brian Forrest Brock, charged with DUI 2nd offense, possession of a Legend drug, simple possession of a Schedule IV drug and leaving the scene of an accident, was reset for Sept. 27.

• Glenn Allen Climer II, charged with aggravated child endangerment, criminal trespass and resisting arrest, was reset for Aug. 23.

• Alyssa Marie Coleman, charged with domestic assault, aggravated domestic assault, driving on a suspended license (two counts) and violation of bond conditions (two counts), was reset for Aug. 2.

• Sheenia Lee Grant, charged with driving on a suspended license and running a stop sign, was reset for Sept. 20.

• Tabithal L. Gray, charged with driving on a suspended license, was reset for Sept. 20.

• Melody Beth Haley, charged with domestic assault, was reset for Sept. 20.

• James Cody Harris, charged with driving on a suspended license, 5th offense, was reset for Sept. 20.

• James R. Kaiser, charged with aggravated assault (seven counts), was reset for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 23.

• Debbie Kronnick, charged with driving on a suspended license, was reset for Sept. 20.

• Teresa Darlene Lester, charged with driving on a revoked license, 10th offense, was reset for Sept. 20.

• Robert Michael Mason, charged with criminal trespass, was reset for Aug. 23.

• Cory Scott McNeese, charged with driving on a suspended license, 1st offense, was reset for Sept. 20.

• David Jonathan Miller was granted a modified probation schedule for work.

• Sherry Annette Nicholas, charged with domestic assault, was reset for Sept. 20.

• Melissa Lambert, a domestic violence victim, was granted her petition to have contact with Thomas Wade Reed, the perpetrator.

• Lisa Dawn Shikles, charged with driving on a suspended license, was reset for Sept. 20.

• Donald Wayne Smith, charged with DUI by consent, public intoxication and violation of probation, 1st offense, was reset for Sept. 20.

• Don A. Stephens, Jr. pled guilty to violation of probation. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to serve his entire sentence.

• Joseph Matthew Starnes, charged with driving on a suspended license, was reset for Sept. 20.

• Tammy Renee Young, charged with DUI 1st offense and violation of the implied consent law, was reset for Aug. 9.

• Chadley Keith Odom, charged with driving on a suspended license, was reset for Sept. 20.

• Betty Jean Olson, charged with DUI 1st offense, violation of the implied consent law, possession of a controlled substance and violation of the financial responsibility law, was appointed the public defender, assessed a $25 administrative fee, and reset for Aug. 23.

• Charles Gregory Light had a violation of probation charge reset for Sept. 27.
